Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, meet your representative and transfer
to Colombo. Depending on your arrival time, visit selected Buddhist and cultural landmarks
in the capital city before settling in for the evening
Day 02
Colombo ➜ Dambulla ➜ Mihintale ➜ Anuradhapura
Visit the UNESCO-listed Dambulla Cave Temple, renowned for its ancient Buddhist murals
and statues. Continue to Mihintale, the sacred birthplace of Buddhism in Sri Lanka where
Arahat Mahinda introduced Buddhism to King Devanampiyatissa. Proceed to
Anuradhapura
Day 03
Anuradhapura → Aukana → Polonnaruwa
Explore the Sacred City of Anuradhapura, including Sri Maha Bodhi, Ruwanwelisaya,
Jetavanaramaya, and Abhayagiri. Later visit the magnificent Aukana Buddha Statue, one of
Sri Lanka's finest ancient standing Buddha images, before continuing to Polonnaruwa
Day 04
Sigiriya → Kandy
Visit the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka's
greatest historical treasures. Continue to Kandy and enjoy an evening cultural experience
Day 05
Temple of the Tooth & Nelligala Monastery
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), Sri Lanka's most revered
Buddhist shrine. Continue to Nelligala International Buddhist Centre, a peaceful hilltop
monastery offering stunning views and a serene environment for contemplation.
Day 06
Kandy → Nallathanniya (Sri Pada)
Travel to Nallathanniya, the gateway to Sri Pada (Adam's Peak). Begin the sacred pilgrimage
ascent of Sri Pada, revered by Buddhists as the sacred footprint of the Buddha and visited
by pilgrims from around the world
Day 07
Nallathanniya → Ella → Sita Amman Kovil → Divurumpola
Travel through the hill country to Ella. Visit Sita Amman Kovil and Divurumpola Raja Maha
Viharaya, an important Ramayana heritage site believed to be the location where Princess
Sita underwent the trial by fire after her rescue from Ravana
Day 08
Ella Meditation Program
Participate in a guided meditation and mindfulness program surrounded by the tranquil
beauty of Ella. Enjoy nature walks, spiritual reflection, and visits to selected temples and
viewpoints in the area
Day 09
Tissamaharama & Buduruwagala
Visit Tissamaharama Raja Maha Vihara, one of Southern Sri Lanka's most important
Buddhist temples, and Yatala Vehera, one of the island's oldest stupas. Continue to
Buduruwagala to witness the impressive ancient Mahayana Buddhist rock-carved statues
dating back over a thousand years
Day 10
Colombo → Gangaramaya → Kelaniya → Departure
Return to Colombo and visit the renowned Gangaramaya Temple and Kelaniya Raja Maha
Vihara, believed to be one of the places visited by Lord Buddha during his third visit to Sri
Lanka. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your departure flight
